About Me

I've been in the Memphis area a long time. Started hunting early,  following my dad in the woods.  We hunted squirrels, rabbits and an occassional quail when we could jump em up.  I have shot flintlock muzzleloaders competitively and enjoy the simpler implements such as long bows and double barrel shotguns.

The only true double I ever got was with a Parker dbl gun 12 ga that was made in 1902.  It was doves like a crossing pair.

Just the essentials: wild birds, pointing dogs, double guns, fine cigars, and good whiskey  -  in about that order!

We raise, train and trial Brittanys.  We don't get to hunt as much as we used to. Mostly Sharptails and Prarie Chickens in Nebraska in September and some quail on a couple of Plantations in south east GA.  We also have pointers and setters.  Training is a journey, not a destination.

About Me

I describe myself as an avid hunter and conservationist. I’ve been hunting now for more than 20 years, mainly fowl, covering most of the southeast. I am married and the mother of two. We consider ourselves a hunting family as we take our children out and hunt with them as much as possible. Teaching them to be respectful and manage our wildlife carefully so that the generations after us can enjoy it also.

In my profile picture is our Drahthaar puppy, Gent. Being his primary trainer, he is a joy to work with. He is a versatile hunting dog so we are training him on upland game, blood tracking, duck hunting, dove hunting, etc. He is starting his upland chapter in his training so hope to see you in the field.
